Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Kent, Washington

As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of embedded flight software for human space flight programs.

Responsibilities:

Develop requirements for, architect, design, implement, and test embedded flight and ground operations software
Develop software design, coding and testing standards
Assist with schedule and cost estimation
Assist with knowledge capture and data management software
Identify cost savings approaches to the design and operation of launch vehicles

Qualifications:

Required

Demonstrated technical expertise in real-time embedded software development.
Demonstrated knowledge of the selection and use of real-time operating systems and the interactions between software and hardware.
Proficiency in the use of the C programming language.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information.

Desired

Knowledge of additional high-level and low-level programming languages.
Knowledge of launch vehicle guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, aeronautics, Mathworks tools, and systems engineering.
Familiarity with integrated engineering tools.
Knowledge of systems engineering practices, fabrication and integration processes and quality control.
