DESCRIPTION:  As part of a unique and highly-skilled team, you will participate in the development of space launch vehicles.  We seek a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast paced environment.
 
Responsibilities
  • Engineering support
    • Assist engineers in capturing purchasing requirements with suppliers
    • Mentor and train employees on negotiation plans and techniques
    • Review purchase requisitions for data accuracy, diligence, competition, and special flow downs or terms and conditions before award
    • Review Statements of Work, proposal packages, and specifications for engineers before bid 
  • Supplier management
    • Complete supplier performance reviews and supplier communications
    • Daily review of US government disbarred entities
    • Review and approve requested supplier additions to supplier database
    • Provide internal guidance for quality expectations, communications and relations
    • Directly manage key and/or critical suppliers on current projects
  • Training:  Create new hire and refresher procurement training and present in-person or virtually to ~800 buyers across three locations
  • Contract management
    • Draft service agreements for consulting work
    • Administer, train and maintain legal documents database
    • Review and negotiate legal documents with suppliers such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Terms and Conditions, and supply contracts
    • Create and maintain management media for changing requirements and processes
  • Systems and Tools
    • Collaborate across functions to improve business processes
    • Troubleshoot purchasing software issues for users
    • Interface with the purchasing software company on updates and new feature implementations (Coupa)
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management or related field
  • Knowledge of ITAR and Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • 15-20 years’ experience in supply chain management
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in small, cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien

  • General knowledge of quality engineering processes
  • Strong background in defining, documenting and implementing business processes
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight
