Built to Deliver More in One Launch.
Designed to be the infrastructure-class lander lunar operations demand — all in a single launch. With initial cargo capacity up to 3 metric tons on New Glenn 7x2 and significantly greater capacity on 9x4, MK1 offers flexible payload placement to any location on the Moon.

Powered by a single BE-7 engine, its high specific impulse, deep throttling, and restart capabilities make it ideal for large lunar payload missions, while enabling Blue Moon's oxygen/hydrogen fuel cell power system.
Since the BE-7 runs on liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen, it can take advantage of in-space resource utilization, tapping into water ice found across the solar system as a future source of propellant and unlocking the solar system for exploration.

MK1 will deploy Power Towers on the lunar surface, delivering more than 10 kilowatts of electrical power and harvesting near-continuous sunlight from the rare peaks of eternal light at the lunar poles.

Upcoming Missions

MK1-101 Endurance
Endurance is a demonstration mission to advance Human Landing System capabilities and validate critical systems ahead of NASA’s Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) mission, including the BE-7 engine, cryogenic fluid power and propulsion systems, avionics, continuous downlink communications, and high precision landing accuracy.

MK1-102 VIPER
This mission will carry NASA’s VIPER (Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover) to the lunar South Pole where NASA is building a Moon Base. Learn more.

MK1-103 & MK1-104
These missions will deliver two Lunar Terrain Vehicles (LTVs) to the lunar South Pole for initial development of NASA's Moon Base efforts, enabling Artemis crew exploration, autonomous mobility, and infrastructure development for sustained lunar operations.
